TWD: Caramel Crunch Bars

Whitney from What’s left on the table? chose Caramel Crunch Bars for this weeks Tuesdays with Dorie. You can find the recipe on Whitney blog or on page 112-113 of Dorie Greenspans cookbook "Baking From My Home to Yours".

These were easy to make and taste great. The little bit of coffee and cinnamon flavor really shine in these cookies. Although they are maybe a little too sweet for my taste, the family really liked them. Great choice Whitney!

Yours look great! I wonder, did yours come out chewy or crisp? Mine were kind of in between, but more on the crisp side.

I love the plate. Maybe sub out the toffee for chopped nuts next time?

So glad you liked them! I didn't even notice the cinnamon or the coffee notes - didn't get past the butter, really. But no complaints.

I decided not to add the cinnamon, but I really liked the hint of espresso flavor. These were great!

Yep, perfectly easy and tasty! I'm glad I didn't do toffee as it would have just added to the sweetness.

Your bars look great. These weren't my favorite either but I loved how easy they were to make.

I'm not sure how much I liked the cinnamon in these, but I thought the espresso was a good addition. It looks like your bars turned out great!
